Default Black Lotus PvP spiker

Profession: A/x
Name: Black Lotus
Type: General PvP: RA, TA, ABs
Category: Spiker/Interupter
Attributes:

12+2 Daggers
6+1 Shadow Arts
12+1 Critical Strikes

Skills Set:

Aura of Displacement {E}
Mark of Instability
Black Lotus Strike
Twisting Fangs
Falling SPider
Horns of the Ox (Blades of Steel)
Shadow Refuge (or other heal)
Ressurection Signet

Summary: AoD to your target as soon as you cast Mark of Instability to catch them off guard. This costs 20 energy, but Black Lotus Strike should give you 16-17 energy back, which is more than enough for the rest of your bar. Follow with twisting fangs for deep wound spike and a free knockdown, and a Falling Spider for some high extra damage and another -4 regen.
Now, you have 2 options:
-Horns of the OX: This adds another KD into the mix, suggested for takeing out monks.
-Blades of Steel: If you favor the super-spike, go with this. Has taken down a mesmer with Illusion of Weakness and started from 3/4 max health.

Notes & Concerns: Black Lotus Strike has a 25 second recharge. Stay out of the way of targets while this recharges.

Thread ressurection ftw. This is an extremely powerful build, the element of surprise and high damage makes this a true killer.

I just took it out for a spin, I killed many rangers that even had whirling up mid combo, It kills warriors with ease, and just about everything else you can think of.

I am assuming that 6+1 shadow thing is either wrong or one of the 12+x is wrong because if I am not mistaken the max base attributes you could have would be 12/12/3.

i think going 15 DM / 13 CS / 7 SA works best

the build is powerful... but the recharge of BLS really kills it

With Bls recharging only 5 seconds after AoD, It doesnt really bother me. I have my own spike build but its far more predictable. I like this more due to AoD really.

Very quick dmg, but once the enemy is down, you're also down for the count until your combo trigger recharges back.... (if only Assassin's promise wasn't an elite! aargh!!)

Nevertheless, good stuff! Definitely worth checking out ^.^

Thanks for the positive comments, and i would like to restate that pretty much the bulk of the build was by Valerius X.

But if you all like this so much, check this one out if you havent already

Hmmm...pity your Attri spread is thin. If you weren't using this in RA, I'd say drop Shadow Arts, put them into Deadly Arts, then replace AoD with Assassin's Promise. Seems to me that if you were to slip in AP right before Blades of Steel (or hell, before Twisting), you'd have zero recharge problems. Catch there is making sure you still get to use Blades of Steel. So it might be best to go AP-->Blades of Steel.

All in all, nice build. I like to see people using Mark of Instability.

hahaha i just started running this the other day and was going to post what i was using when i see you have the same thing. It works nice with the +energy from BLS. but the recharge is a little rough but can be dealt with since you can AoD out. I like it.....so far

I posted up almost this exact same build a couple days ago. Pretty damn useful if you ask me. It's a killer of all casters, pretty much. I don't like using AoD,though, so I swapped in Moebius strike, resulting in an auto recharge of BLS + 2 HotOs in a row, and for a monk struggling to get off an RoF that's pretty devastating. By the time they stand up, they're back down again.

OO this build just gave me an awesome idea for a PvE build
Vamp Weap
same atts

Run skills in this order
Mark of Instability
Golden Lotus Strike
Black Lotus Strike
Twisting Fangs
Falling Spider
Horns Of The Ox
Moebius Strike
Mending(as my enchant and for the vamp)

that would be a completely never-ending combo depending on recharge of MoI.

of course this build would only apply if its cool with yer party if ye dont bring a res.

MoI recharges at 20secs ;[.

Lol! That's hilarious, though! I never once thought of putting Golden Lotus AND Black Lotus in the same combo. xDD Pure awesomeness.

Was screwing around with it in pve.
15 dagger 11 crit 11 deadly.
Mark - black lotus - promise - twisting - spider - blossom - watch yourself - ?skill x?

With zealous daggers had no energy problems. With henchmen the wardens usually died during spider. Promise misses sometimes, afflicted use expel hexes and such, and sometimes I swear it just doesn't work for some reason (when this happens your basically screwed for 45 seconds). This build doesn't use a stance... so skill x can be sprint, dash, rez whatever.

I understand why promis is at 45 secs considering it SHOULD recharge itslef but I think that it should only be like 30 sec recharge 45 is a bit too much with so much hex removal in game.

Also promise can work with my build too my only problem is that the atts will be way too spread out, besides I am not aware enough to use promise half the time, that's why I will never be a monk, I am stretching it with my rit.
